Why do employers use MS Dos based programs ?
My last three employers all used a Dos based program for multiple items, such as accounting software, casino software, and check cashing software. At first, I thought that they were just trying to cut there cost, but now i think they prefer to use this type of program. Is this an example of the leaders at my multiple jobs failing to adapt to change? or is Dos just the most practical software to use?

Many of their software programs were probably written by other companies, maybe custom programming too, and so if it works, leave it alone. Even if it's old stuff. Most likely there was a high cost involved, or there simply was no further updates of their specific software, so they still use it.
are the computer 25 yrs old also? modern PC's don;t run DOS
