Cars sold in Florida are basically the same as cars sold elsewhere with the following exceptions;
- no block heater
- no snow tires.
................ and that's about it. Without snow tires they WILL get stuck and most modern cars can get by quite nicely without a block heater providing the battery is in good shape. The temperature where I live dips to MINUS 35*F and I used my block heater once last Winter.
I live in Colorado and I don't have a block heater or snow tires. I haven't seen snow in years. When it does come it melts off in about a day or two. Most ski resorts are open about 2 to 6 weeks a year and they are in the extreme high country. Modern fuel injected cars don't even need the "high altitude tune" of decades from the past. "Run what you brung" and you'll be fine.
