Many people would bring up recent titles such as Skyrim or Mass Effect 3, but I am one of those people that looks to do everything the difficult but right way. I believe that a video game ahead of its time like oblivion(The prequel to Skyrim that paved the way for the medieval Role Playing Game) before oblivion, people thought it was for nerds like Dungeons And Dragons. now, you can also look at things like final fantasy or zelda or even mortal combat that have spawned entire series of games that last for decades. Or you may look at the very first video games. I'm not talking Mario or Donkey Kong, I mean what really started it all and hasn't released series, but thousands of versions and is unforgettable, games like space invaders and pack man. people might not call these video games, but they were some of the very first ones whether you like it or not. OR, The game that started everything Tennis for Two. It was invented in Brookhaven National Laboratory on October 18, 1958 and it was very simply, the first video game.
