Hope wasnt "rested" per se- rather its best to allow all your keepers that valuable playing time, especially the 2nd and 3rd string as they may not see many games otherwise. Since Hope is and will remain starter for the forseeable future barring any serious injury or another stupid coaching decision (fortunately, Pia isnt so retarded.), you still have to keep your keepers match fit incase you have to rely on them in the future. What better game than one where a backup wouldnt be such a liability as it would be in a big game.
