Because it feels like you've met your other half in life and it is exciting to see how different that person is. It can end up working for the long haul cause you get to experience life like never before or it could be a short fling cause you won't have as much in common which makes some people feel insecure.
opposites attract becuase they are just that, opposites. if a person was exactly the same as another and they hung out all the time, where would be the fun in that? if you are paired up with someone who isnt like you at all, it can get interesting to see how you would react to one another.
