Why is DNA transcribed into RNA?

I'm doing homework and I'm stuck on this question

  • It is transcribed for the process of protein synthesis. Basically, a copy of Dna needs to go to the ribosomes in the cell to make a protein, but Dna is too big to go through the nucleus. Therefore, rna polymerase (a protein) will transcribe, or copy, the Dna so that it is now rna, one strand. Now the rna can leave the nucleus and go to the ribosome to make proteins

  • it's not lol u dum
