How Do I Use a Clutch?
I don't drive a car that has a clutch, but I want to learn how to one of these days. I know that when you start the car you have to press the clutch pedal down, but what do you do if you have to brake or go down a gear or park? It's so confusing!

When you have to brake all the way, all you have to do is push in the clutch all the way, take the shiftknob into neutral(middle, where it can move side to side) and let the clutch out. It's hard to explain, you will understand how easy it is when you start driving it more often.
this is actually a lot easier than you're making it out to be.
there are two rules.
1) either the clutch or the gas pedal needs to be depressed. Read that again. Either/or. Pick one. I'm serious. Now.
2) Don't try to downshift "sequentially" Shift all the way down to the appropriate gear for your speed (or to first if you've stopped) You'll have to listen to your engine the first couple of times until you recognize what that means but honestly, it's easy to fix.
Other than that, simply making sure you fully depress the clutch will be your only issue.
