serious vista issues?
I deleted my desktop for some reason,
I can't do system restore because I only have one date on it and it's yesterday when things were still messed up, plus it says my c: has corrupt files on it, can't do chkdsk because autchk file is corrupted and I can't change autchk file because I can't ented command in elevated mode no matter how many times I click on run as administrator it still runs as user.
I have no windows cd although i have an oem product key, help!!

Download Rescatux and burn it to a CD or flash drive, then boot from that. There's a windows button in the Rescaatux app that lets you play around with the file system, restore boot, wipe out passwords, etc. Also backup the stuff on your HD to DVD or external HD. Maybe you could check the hard drive and see if it's failing. If so, time for a new HD (or computer). You might be tempted to buy Windows 7 but it might not run on your machine if it's older. Better to just download Linux and run that, it's better than Windows 8.
