do acne scars fade away?

i have a few acne scars mainly underneath my nose ontop of my upper lip because i get pimples there ALOT and they are big pimples so i am still young, middle school and i was wondering if they would ever go away because ive had some for a while now, but once my pimples stop will the scars start to fade? and also how can i help them fade quicker and completely?

  • Most likely they'll all fade away on their own, but if they don't you can go see a dermatologist and talk with him he can give you some different lotions that can help or you could have a chemical burn done. It's a procedure where the top layer of skin is burned off allowing a new fresh layer to grow in it's place. If the scaring is very bad or deep they have other options that you could use but the prices for those can jump quite a bit.

    For now you can try some cleansing pads or different lotions just go into walmart and look around, most of them are fairly inexpensive. Also something else that helps. Try not to pick around at them they'll go away on their own.

  • i dont know.. i have the same problem but on my forehead. i dont get pimples anymore though because i went to a dermatologist and she said the scars will eventually fade away
