What do you think of Barack Obama as Pres. so far..?

I'll be candid & state I didn't vote for him, aside from that would you rate his performance as 1/About what you expected, 2/exceeding expectations or 3/sorry you voted for him ..?

Update:

I think he REALLY insulted the Brits -they are our no#1 ally -I don't see how this is good..

Update 3:

Jersey Guy: Thank you, Sir for your service to our country..

  • Wow!! 5- a complete nightmare!! For all of you guys that are optimistic about this dude, look out it is already happening taxes will be soaring he is proposing a $1.27 tax on every gallon of gas and $1.37 on every gallon of diesel. He is proposing about a $7.00 tax on ammunition. Jobs will be lost at astronomical rates this year 14% of small businesses are expected to go out of business this year and your optimistic! The Brits our ally's are extremely angry with Obama he insulted them by giving the prime minister 12 dvd's as a gift and one of them was ET absolutely no class!! But then again he is putting us in the poor house. You need to get your head out of your A** I'm glad I didn't vote for him but it really doesn't matter who did because we are all going to pay the price for this one. I just hope there is a country left after he gets done.

  • Very "Odoriferous" if you get my drift!

    4. Sorry anyone voted for him!

Edit for ----smartcheerleader71377----OOPs! Think you need to check your calculator! 800 Billion divided by 6 Billion comes out to about $133.33 for each of the 6 Billion people in the world. That is not the problem because very few real people will ever see more and a couple of thousand dollars total! Lets see, $13.00 a week X 52 weeks =$676.00 per year! Now this is real "Stimulus" Think it will help the guy above who will loose his house and family? Glad you did not vote for Obama, hope you never do!

Edit for asker:------You are Welcome and if need be I would do it again even at my age (73). My father is WWI Vet, My Brother a Korean Vet, My Son a Marine Vet, 1 Daughter An Air Force Vet. None career Military just Vets. In addition I served 18 months in Vietnam 68-69 (10 years after I got out of the Army) as an "In Country" Computer Specialist (Civilian).

    Proud Vet

  • You know, when he ran for office, he made a lot of promises that I never honestly expected him to keep, because really, what politician ever does? I also recognized that the economy and our relationships with other nations were pretty much down the toilet and that one man couldn't possibly fix all of that in just a few years. Still...I'm disappointed, yes. It's early, and I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt a little longer, but I can't help but think that he's being fairly stupid with the country's money. He's spending a little too much time "exposing" Bush's version of the government and not enough time fixing it, and I'm just not impressed with the choices he's made. I still say he can't be any worse than Bush (knock on wood), but I'm losing hope a little too quickly.

  • i had to agree to a 30% paycut to keep my job. Now my mortgage is well over 1/3 of my new income. I should be able to hang on to the house for another 3-4 months, then the sherriff will come and remove my wife, my seven year old and two year old. then we can apply for public housing. This is the hope and change i expected, although ii didn't expect it to come so fast.great news, though, i just found out if i divorce my wife she can qualify for food stamps and get free Obama care. All in all Obama is the greatest president ever....not.

And if anyone thinks I'm kidding with my sad tale, I'm not.

  • On a 0 to 10 scale I would rate Bush at 3. I would have to expand the scale into the negative realm to rate the current President.

  • This question needs to be expanded to what do we think of the current administration as a whole. It is definitely troublesome to see what Washington, D.C. is doing to my country.

I am optimistic that the Constitution will not be destroyed, but it is hanging by a thread and it seems to me that some of the D.C. cult want to destroy it. They will not succeed! Good people will rise up and make sure that we maintain our freedoms, but we are going to have some serious problems between now and then.

  • Would've have voted for him in the first place. (I'm not old enough yet, but I think i'm smart enough to vote)

Something to think about- aren't there only 6 billion people on earth right now? So why would need to pass a bill to spend more than a billion dollars on each person?

  • Well since I had nothing to do with electing this man in, I am sad to see my country falling apart, Some one needs to deal with the illegal aliens, as this is why we are in this mess!! all the senators, house, all of them are to blame for this mess, from the 70's up to today!!!!! I still think he is a bought and paid for empty suit!

  • 5 - didn't vote for him, worst. president. ever.

I think the only president the country rejected faster and stronger was Lincoln.

  • Just typical democrat, back to picking on little ones still in the womb!
