Birth control side effects?

Okay so I'm prescribed to take birth control because my periods are really heavy and I have bad cramps. So my dr told me to take it on the first day of my period and to take it from then on and I did. So I ended my period 6 days ago and right now I'm getting cramps and I have my period again. I don't know f it's spotting or what but why am I having my period again?

    Starting birth control can mess up your cycles. Just keep taking them. After 3 months, then you can evaluate whether to keep takig them or not.

    birth control can take a month or two to get on track. wait it out
