How do I directly embed a quote in MLA format into a paragraph?

I have this quote that I've put into a sentence:

"Music is the effort we make to explain to ourselves how our brains work. We listen to Bach transfixed because this is listening to a human mind”, says American physician and writer, Lewis Thomas.

Do I need to include a parenthetical citation after "...Thomas." ? I got this quote directly off of a website:

As well, do I need to include a citation of this in my Works Cited list?

  • since you said, "says ------", I don't think you need an in-text citation (might want to double check me on that, though). You do need to cite that webpage in your works cited, however.

  • Microsoft be conscious 2007 straight away away makes use of the main perfect for you as quickly as you cite a source. It saves the concepts and as quickly as you're finished with the paper it particularly is going to print the Works suggested internet site and the bibliography for you . look indoors the author's Reference e book it has a definite area for MLA format.
