1994 Dodge Stealth no spark?

My neighbor has worked for months trying to start his 1994 Dodge Stealth RT. He needs a repair manual and can't find one. He has no spark and no idea where to trouble shoot the problem. Where can he buy a manual and what would cause no spark?

Thanks

  • Check Ebay for a service manual bec when a lot of the dealerships closed down they sold their repair manuals at auctions etc and I've seen many manuals on ebay , just be sure to check all the ads before bidding or purchasing.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way the 3 basic things you need in order for any engine to start is first the starter has to turn over the engine fast enough , spark then you need the proper fuel pressure and air flow.Every ignition module or coil pack or dist has a 12 volt positive feed that must be present when the key is turned. If that voltage is there then check the module or coil pack or dist for any cracks or bulges or discoluring in the housing and also there could be rust or corrosion build up where the plug wires connect up to it and it could have faulty internal parts.

  • The Dodge Stealth is a Mitsubishi 3000GT badged under Dodge. I am certain they use the same repair manual because they are the same car and chassis, just under a different badge. I'm sure the Mitsubishi 3000GT repair manual is universal and compatible with the Dodge Stealth. Just make sure the repair manual from the 3000GT is not for a VR-4 or SL model. Or he can choose to visit his local Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth dealer and buy one directly from them. They should have the option to special order it if they do not have it in stock.

  • how do you know there is no spark.. what have you troubleshot to come up with no spark... what steps? Go to you local auto part store and locate a small handheld tool to measure current from the plug wires... Try to replace starter coil, check the Dist cap make sure its not loose, check the rotor, tap on the starter a few times to see if thats the problem.. alot of times its fuel...filter/pump

  • extremely tough aspect. look into in google. that will help!
