Is glucosamine natural?

If i buy a good brand like glucosamine chrondroitin sulfate and msm is it all natural i read that glucosamine comes from crustaceans or other sea food for my dogs joints.

  • You'd have to check the lable and/or the company that manufactures it to determine if it's natural or synthesized glucosamine. But it doesn't matter. It's called glucosamine because of it's specific molecular structure. If it's structure varied by even a molecule, it would be called something else.

    That said ... it's GREAT stuff for dogs (and people) with stiff joints. I have it for my 8 year old Dobie. Without it, she's stiff and you can even see that it's a little painful for her to stretch when she stretches. With it ... she's as spry and limber as when she was 2.
