a classic case of people not reading the question. yes, you will need a card reader. either a internal reader or a external hub. and depending on the type of card and the type of card reader, you may need a adapter . an easy way to tell if you will need a adapter is that, if the card is about the size of a finger nail (middle finger, thumb) you may need a adapter as some hubs do not support these sized cards. however it may be cheaper just to get a cable than to get a card reader and a adapter.
No u cant insert ur memory stick in USB drive........ u can insert it only in Card reader...... that has various slots.....and also have a slot for memeory stick of any cam coder....so have a digital card reader.
adesh is right, he is talking about m2 sticks, which, confusingly, are a bit like sd cards. you will need to buy a card reader to use it with your pc. the link to the one i have is

Some of these people appear to have interpreted the question incorrectly. A M2 memory card needs to be plugged into a suitable card reader to be read.

YES
YOU ARE SUPPOSED to put it STRAIGHT into the usb port
...just stick it in
If I read your question correctly, just put it in. Why would you need a cable if it all ready fits?
should slide in easily, if trouble then its upside down
