Why don't Filipinos respect China?

many immigrants settled down from China and made huge contributions to its economy.
unlike Japan who did brutal massacre in Manila in the past, they are beasts.
but China has been peaceloving likable people.

They know China is trying to take part of their country - don't you know that?
Respect is earned not asked nor forcefully obtained by coercion and intimidation. China is behaving like a grown up boy with a behavior like a 5 year old kid/bully. Something for its leaders to reflect upon to become a full grown superpower with a heart of a good neighbor.
Lately China unilaterally declared a defense identification zone for aircraft. That is a direct challenge to peace loving nations in the area to comply to their whims or else.... now come on and China asks for respect?
Because China behaves like a bully, a liar, a swindler, and a cheat. People may fear, or dislike a thief or bully, but do not respect them in the same way as a honest person, they may trust.
The biggest mistake Spain made was to import cheap Chinese laborers to the Philippines, they have been disrupting the government and society ever since. The biggest mistake Marcos made was a decree that gave Chinese in the Philippines citizenship status. Prior to this time ethnic Chinese were regarded to be 'foreign Asians', not Filipino citizens, which restricted their influence over government and the economy; both of which have suffered badly since that time.
Since the unilateral 'decree' by dictator Marcos was not approved by congress or any judicial process, we could argue it was unconstitutional, and an example of a dictator's abuse of power, without any legitimate authority or jurisdiction to do so.

What is interesting in the Marcos decree is that a foreigner could claim Filipino citizenship simply by swearing an oath of allegiance. However the decree also provides that citizenship thus aquired, or thier children's citizenship, would be revoked if the person acts as a 'dummy' for a foriegn nation, or any act against national security.
Hence, we should conclude any members or supporters of chinese puppet groups like NPA, CPP, gabriella, etc.. .. should have thier citizenship revoked, and be deported.
unless you are ignorant and never been nowhere such a question you don't need to ask. take the spratlys as an example why chinese are so desperate to have it, due to their population explosion,they need other place at all means to deploy their over population so they grab anywhere and anything as far as japanese territory. the war has been accomplished and passed, what happened during the war time belongs to the past , what's important is now and the future, china is a big menace in the human society as you can see, just take yourself as an example being a chinese. listen to the television and watch what's going on in ghana, nigeria, congo, where's there's a lot of chinese settlers, how they treat the blacks, chinese don't respect no one but themselves, that's why in africa every chinese they see in the street or somewhere in africa the blacks kills them, so never ask why filipinos doesn't respect chinese. with this answer I gave you ,you can picture how notorious the chinese can be in africa to arrive to that extent of mass murder done by the africans.
philippines doesn't need chinese migrants just to plunder the country, in fact the contrary, they should kiss the ground of the Philippines, as, sooner they set their foot there they get themselves rich while the population striving hard unable to have good life like the fu -cking migrants. as soon as they are there they grab the most payable jobs, the most prestigous post in the job market through bribes as most filipinos are money hungry so they are ready even to sell their parents while the poor filipinos, even graduated with diploma cannot land a good job as the fu--cking chinese are already occupying the post.
Some people are more racist under the influence of propaganda and media press of there own countries. China and Philippines both have propaganda about their own territory claims. They have their own version of stories and its interesting to compare and contrast both...
Most Chinese people don't really care about Philippines nor the Spratys Island. It's not like the Japanese conflict which is backed with historic hatred.
While some do invest in the Philippines, it's not like they are not taking profit.
Anyway, I don't really think the general people should be hated which include the current Japanese. Sometimes people just cannot clear up their mind about what they should really hate and choose the whole group of people instead of the true culprits.
What do you mean Filipinos don't respect China? Maybe you have no enough knowledge about what's happening with these two countries.. Chinese are good, yeah we know, but their government is not that so likable. You should know.
We respect certain Chinese individuals. In fact a lot of them. Respect is earned.
I do not understand your concept of respecting something inanimate or impersonal, like a country. It is akin to saying we should respect a town, or a city.
Respect is accorded to individuals, or institutions. A country is NOT an institution.
