Syria-conclusive proof humanity is dead?
Whilst a pogrom rages in Syria,in full sight of the UN, and World "leaders" sit on their hands as spectators to the carnage perpetrated by Assad and his family, is any more evidence needed that the family of man is dead?
After millenia of "development" is this an end product of civilisation we should be proud of?
Update:Deighton-indeed perhaps it was dead twenty years ago, further proof if it were needed!

People should Speak out to help the Syrian people attain freedom from tyranny
Perhaps you should actually look at the facts before making conclusions about "humanity".
The Syrian army is fighting armed gangs of Al-Qaeda terrorists and Wahhabi insurgents. The so-called revolution has been armed from the very beginning, and the goal was not to obtain "freedom" or "democracy" but to cause destruction and serve foreign agendas.
America, Britain, France, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and several other countries are funding these terrorist groups to try to overthrow the legitimate Syrian government. They are having money and weapons smuggled to them across the Syrian border in enormous quantities, and they are sending in death squads of hired foreign insurgents to kill random people and cause chaos.
Every day, these terrorist groups are are blowing up buildings, sabotaging infrastructure, bombing oil pipelines and bridges, and murdering people on a mass scale. Entire neighborhoods are being destroyed and terrorized, entire families are getting killed inside their homes, and random terrorist snipers are murdering people on the streets - both civilians and security forces.

Soldiers and policemen have been dying in large numbers ever since the first days of this supposedly peaceful uprising, and nobody has asked why. Thousands of civilians and over 3000 security forces have been killed since the beginning of the conflict by gangs of insurgents using weapons smuggled from foreign countries.
Every day, shipments and caches of smuggled foreign weapons and bombs are discovered by the Syrian security forces. These include heavy weapons, heavy-duty explosives and mortar shells, and even sophisticated weapons manufactured by NATO countries and Israel. The cities where the most violence is happening (Homs, Daraa, Idleb) are all in close proximity to the Syrian border where fighters and weapons can easily enter from nearby countries like Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey.
The US and its allies want to overthrow Syria because of geopolitical reasons, not because they care about "human rights" or "democracy". Most of the Gulf Arab states that are supporting this insurgency have horrible human rights records themselves. The US wants to destroy Syria because it is allied economically and militarily with countries like Russia, China and Iran, and because it is one of the only countries standing in the way of total US domination and hegemony in the middle east. Syria's stance against Israel doesn't help either. General Wesley Clark admitted in 2007 that the Pentagon had plans years ago to overthrow 7 countries, including Iraq, Libya and Syria.
The vast majority of what the mainstream media reports about Syria is taken directly from opposition sources and anonymous "activists" - in other words - rumors fabricated by the opposition. And many times these sources are not even in Syria.
For example, the "Syrian Observatory for Human Rights", which is possibly the most quoted source in the media about the Syrian conflict, is actually run from an apartment in Coventry, England by one (1) man who gets his all his information from "anonymous phonecalls", and then gives it to the media, who would apparently much rather throw around baseless stories and unverifiable, inflated death tolls than actually check the facts.

What you'll never hear on the news is that Bashar al-Assad (the Syrian president) has already met most of the demands of the legitimate opposition in Syria (those who are peacefully demanding more freedom, democracy, and reforms).
The Syrian government has already implemented new party laws, new media laws, new election laws, a new constitution has been implemented via referendum, the emergency law has been lifted, general amnesty has been granted multiple times, one party rule in the parliament has been eliminated, etc.
Even with endless amounts of foreign money, bombs and guns flowing every day across the Syrian border, and even with the impending threat of U.S. invasion, the situation is still managing to slowly get better. The government is implementing massive reforms, there will soon be new parliamentary elections and later presidential elections, and the Syrian army has taken back most of the areas that were controlled by the terrorist gangs.
is only one part of the world, it isn't any
Not really.
Syrians killing other Syrians. There isn't anything us individuals can do. It's up to the UN and China and Russia. Let them sort it out,
I do what I can to help my friends and relatives. And so do millions of others. We are humanity.
Syria, my dear is the proof of how mankind reacts in extreme fear.
Assad is a man cornered with no way to go.
If he backs down, the whole world will watch his family's entire legacy of a 43 year rule taken down in undignified shame
Would he rather DIE fighting his "terrorists"?
YES, you can believe that.
Humanity
You toss around that word like we all know what role we play to prove to aliens out there that we have the compassion and understanding to make everything right.
If I were kofi anan, I will attempt to separate the two factions from their weapons. Cool the brains that are in the frenzy of killing with another activity. wash them down and toss them in water. Hear the sizzle of flames being extinguished.
then give a long grace period to assad to wind down his rule. 6 months.
What is happening in Syria is a civil war, why should the West get involved in a civil war? Look at Libya, we should learn the lesson from there. We are not the world's police force and there are no thanks when we try to be.
is only one part of the world, it isn't any worse than the Bosnia trouble that started 20 years ago
