How do you check this Algebra problem?

2[ 4-2 ( 3-x )] - 1 = 4[ 2 ( 4x-3 ) +7 ] - 25

2(4 - 6 + 2x) - 1= 4(8x - 6 + 7) - 25

8 - 12 + 4x - 1= 32x - 24 + 28 - 25

-5 + 4x= 32x - 21

16= 28x

4/7= x

Comments

  • you substitute the value of x in the equation, so every time you see an x in the first equation, 2[ 4-2 ( 3-x )] - 1 = 4[ 2 ( 4x-3 ) +7 ] - 25, you would put 4/7 in. The equation should be 2[ 4-2 ( 3-4/7)] - 1 = 4[ 2 ( 4(4/7)-3 ) +7 ] - 25 . Hope I helped!

  • substitute 4/7 for x and check to see if it still works. if it does then its right

  • Put your answer in for x. if it equals out, then you are right.
