Do I deserve a Girlfriend? Or is this a mentel issue?
This is my first ever question
Do I deserve a girlfriend? Ive been addicted to p*** since the age of 12 and now Im 18. Ive been clean off porn since January (and Ive been overwhelmingly happy)...I think p*** is the reason why i feel i dont deserve a gf. They seem too beautiful, clever and pure compared to me....
I find it hard to differentiate between someone who is my type and someone who isnt because to me they all seem another-worldly and very intimidating......Also I cant seem to see "ugly" or "bad looking" girls if you will, :S, they all just seem amazing.
I also think that because of the "performance" Ive witness from p***, i have a subconscious fear of performing well?! :S
What do you reckon? Do I deserve a girlfriend? Or does my mentallity on girls need to change? I cant tell wheather I look at women as s** objects or as people. :S

p.s tbh i would want a relationship built around joy and laughter rather then anything else........... but i guess to reach this i have to get over my mindset on girls.

you seem like you have a good heart you just need to relax, you seem to be scared of normal girl, when ur around a girl just dont bring up any thing that has to do with porn you dont want to scare her, you'll do fine just really watch what you say
Considering your addiction to porn I would say that you are likening every girl to the ones you see in porn. You do deserve a girlfriend, everyone does but I think you need to stop thinking of every girl as the girls in porn as they have perfect faces and bodies but most regular girls (who haven't had copious amounts of surgery) don't. You should just try and keep yourself away from porn and start up a friendship with a girl, then start hanging around with people your own age and that will make you seem a lot more approachable. If you like a girl then you will have had a boost of confidence from making friends so you'll be calm and collected when talking to her. Remember to act confident around her because girls like confidence and don't ever tell her about your addiction.

Okay, you seem like you are very sweet because I know tons of guys who are addicted to porn and who just don't care. If you have never seen a girl that you didn't think was beautiful then that is a good sign. It just means that you love women! If you treat a girl with respect, look at her eyes, pay attention to her, she will always appreciate that. It seems you are more deserving of a girlfriend than lots of guys who already have them. There's nothing wrong with a guy looking at porn. You're worrying too much. It's a phase, it'll pass. When you get older, you'll come to realize that sex, among other stuff isn't the only thing in life. My bf and I have been going for a year (he's 18 too) and watches porn. doesn' bother me at all. We (women) we're given nice bodies for guys to gaze upon, but we also deserve respect. stop worrying so much. just keep in mind, girls are human and we have feelings too. Hope this helps.
ok, first thing first.
girls love to be held on a pedastol and look perfect. compliments and stuff are great.
but if all you want is sex, then no, don't go out with anyone. but if you want an actually realationbship, then yes, i do believe you can have a girlfriend.
if you are worried about preforming well... don't worry about it.. i garuntee that a lot of the girls that will go out with you won't be perfect, and you need to accept that about them and you.
what's good in your situation is that you don't see "ugly or bad looking women" that helps you a lot. that means that you see all the good things in them
heres the probolem. if you think of women as sex objects then your screwed. no girl wants to be thought of that way. your mentality needs to change a lil bit, and if you start actually seeing people as they are, and accepting women as people compared to something to use, then you will do fine.
**** warning**** messing with girls is dangerous and i garuntee that if you show any signs of disrespect to a girl you date it will end badly... if a guy i was dating saw me only as a sex puppet i'd break up with him... after repeatedly slapping him on the face.. a lot....

Of coarse you do the fact you have changed yourself shows maturity. I think because you have grown up you are enjoying women more n don't feel the need to look at them and think eeew shes ugly cos im guessing you could have insulted girls when u were younger ? cos most guys do at a young age.

Women are Angels from God, you should appreciate them as Women! stop with the p##n! Women these days have put themselves into a category of non appreciation of whom they are! so change your mentality on women! you also sound very confused into what kind of nature you want to turn..concerns me for 2 reasons...#1 you have been into that since 12...#2 you seem to have a different out look on women, well certain types..seek counseling! you may be heading in the wrong direction..get help before it is too late!

well, i think you could definitely use some help from subliminal messages. In your case, playing subliminal cds related to relationships and people could help improve the way you manage them, and the views you have of them.
