my guinea pig has a attitude problem!? why?
I got him on sept. 6.. i give him LOTS of love. hold him everyday.
take hm out of his cage and take him outside. give him treats...(iceberg l. carrots timothy hay etc) BUT he al way s make this sound like in his body.. kinda like we do when we get chills. and runs away from me when i try to get him out of his cage. Why?
Update:Iceberg lettuce! OUT OF THE PICTURE! i started feeding him that last nigh only 3 pieces! ok!

First of all Guinea Pigs can not have Ice burg lettuce. It causes fatal Diarrhea problems. Give him Romaine Lettuce instead.
He may not be use to you yet. You are on the right track with holding him and petting him. He may not be yet satisfied with your touch or the way your holding him.
The way you described the sounds he makes is Teeth Chattering. Teeth Chattering means, Stay away or danger. He does not want to be around you right then.

the sound is a bit like a cat purring but if its a bit high pitched and sounds like an alien then he's warning you off. most guinea pigs run around the cage when you try to pick them up, mine do
you probs have nothing to worry about but if it starts biting you and becaomes more nasty then maybe you should get him castrated because this lowers the testosterone which makes him more friendly.
my guinea pigs love to be held so i dont know why people are saying they dont, everyone i've talked to that have had guinea pigs say they like cuddles
ok first off he CANT EAT ICE BURG LETTUCE!! its not good for em and plus have no vitamins in them try the other lettuce i forgot what its called but it starts with an ren and it is long and green and 2nd ov all that noise means it is uncomfortable so leave it alone and everytime you go to get him have a treat in hand so he will run then *** bak then just pick him up lay him on you and feed him the treat or just give it to him! he will eventually start like getting used to you and will trust you more its just all about trust!
He just may not be a friendly guinea pig, in my experience, most aren't. Continue to treat him the way you always have and hopefully he will come around.

Guinea pgis are skittish.
They are very loveing once you take them out.
Its just getting them out of there teritory.
They make that sound either because they feel thretined or there happy. myn did it to. like a guulll sound? yeah thats what myn did. He was so swweeett! I loved him very much.

i think he just doesnt want to be held u said u held him everyday and maybe that was too much
