2006 Impala Remote Start Problem?
I have a 2006 Impala LT with remote start that does work, but I have to be about 6 feet from the car. I read in the manual that I am supposed to be able to start it up to 195 feet away. I have changed batteries in the remote so I know that is not the problem... any ideas?

I dont know if it would work but try and re-sequence the fob. Hold the lock and unlock button at the same time. The doors should lock then unlock then try and test the fob again. You may need to replace the fob.
sounds like a extraordinary subject. for sure there's no issue with the starter or battery, however the ignition module is certainly and subject. i'm no longer particular, yet your key could have a microchip on it (like somewhat black subject with a steel interior the middle) once you put in the significant, it is going to examine this chip (thats what motives the lighting fixtures to come back on), yet whether it is not examining it wisely the motor vehicle certainly does not launch the ignition and lock the place you will possibly pull the significant out. As for the clock resetting, it extremely is indicative that the ignition module (it extremely is the on off change) might have a quick someplace that interrupts the relationship from the battery to the accessory panel, and actually resets the relationship. i won't say for a actuality it is your ignition module inflicting the themes. i might additionally recommend rechecking your battery connection to make beneficial that your battery terminals are connected tight and comfortable. I say this with the aid of fact, properly... everytime your battery disconnects it is going to reset your clock to twelve:00. So your motor vehicle is appearing somewhat as though it purely is dropping a battery connection in between.
it could be the sensor in the car that detects when you pust the button
