ther is no such thing as XP home Premium, just XP Home Edition.
you would need to buy a copy of XP, but they stopped selling it at end of june, so its pretty hard to find a copy for sale, you can currnetly only get it on brand new PC's ( though Dell is only compny i know doing it and they charge extra)
Vista is good, if youve never had XP you wouldnt notice any diffrnece anyway and xp is nearly 7 years old, so pretty ancinet by PC standards. (and win 7 comes out in 2010 so youd need to upgrade in year n bits time anyway)
Find a full install copy of XP that is legal to use. Reformat the Vista computer's hard drive to erase Vista. Install XP from the disk.
Vista won't let you install an older copy of Windows over a newer one.
to allow for a downgrade, first you had to upgrade from xp to vista by having xp installed first, then installing vista on top of that.
that said, contact microsoft.
EDIT: I believe so.
You can just buy a XP disc and install it over vista, although you will lose files in the process, so backup any important files onto a external drive, then just install XP and recopy your old files across
i think u mean xp pro? i haven't heard of xp home premium :O one way you could try: delete the whole partition and then install xp on that, vista won't let u downgrade, this is the only way i can think of and probably the only way, n im pretty sure its the cheapest way
hope that helps
You have to first backup everything that you want to keep. (documents, pictures, songs etc.)
Then all you have to do is buy an XP Home Premium install disk, and install it over Vista.
i have had to downgrade vista also , you have to put the XP install disk in your computer then turn off your computer ,, when your computer starts up press either F3 or F12 whatever one takes you to BOOT menue ,,"it'll tell you in the top right "" once you get to BOOT screen find BOOT options ,, and find BOOT from disk and then it'll install XP ,,, if you cant find it search it took me a while ,, but if you try to downgrade when windows allready started , its impossible as far as i know
