it could be worse, don't worry!
if he's behaving normally i would change the water and give his tank a good scrubbing (i use all-natural cleaner for cleaning my tank, if there's ever any residue it wont hurt reptiles). rinse the turtle itself gently under lukewarm water and he should be good to go. if whatever food you're feeding him was in the house in an open container during the "bombing" you probably want to get new food. if you want you could keep his tank a little warmer than usual- that's usually the first thing you're supposed to do if they are sick, but it isn't necessary.
good luck!
Your turtle has a small percentage of being sick because you said that his tank has a small open spot. The initial thing you will do is clean all things about your turtle to avoid being poisoned. Observe your turtle for at least 1 to 3 days and if his behavior and health status has changed, let a veterinarian examine your turtle's health status.
Well if there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with him, don't worry about it. If he appears to deteriorate (ie, not eating, bowel movements, strange behaviour, etc,) then take him to see a vet. And next time remember your pets' safety!
All you can do is change the water and clean his tank really well and hope he didn't become poisoned.
