I like Jasper more. It was the name I intended for a son when I was little. But then Twilight happened. Oscar is more usable. Just hold onto Jasper for another 10 years!
Oscar or Jasper! Felix is a cat and Casper is a ghost, I just can't get past that. I do love Oscar and Jasper though, I think I'd be more likely to name a child Oscar, Jasper just seems like a bit of a guilty pleasure name for some reason.
I love the first 3 names and Casper and Oscar are on my top 5 boy names. I'm not sure why but Jasper doesn't sound as good to me as the rest. It may be because I know it's from Twilight and I really did not like that movie. Out of the other three my favorite is probably Casper. Felix is a great name but I prefer it as a middle name. I normally dislike names with an X so I think this is why I can't quite say it's may favorite of the bunch. Oscar is such a precious yet masculine name but I can imagine meeting a little Casper more than meeting a little Oscar. Casper sounds so sweet and innocent to me.
I realize that Felix, Casper, and Oscar are also names from kid shows when we were younger but that does not matter to me because I think they made me like them more. People always say that kids will get teased for having names like this, but kids will not know who Felix is and Casper and Oscar are 2 of many characters. When we were little there were only so many characters for us to watch but now there are so many kids shows that it seems silly to say that these names specifically will be teased. They are all great names and I think they are ready for a comeback. Hope this helps
Felix. I love all of those names, actually, but Oscar is really popular where I live, and although Casper is a lovely name it still reminds me of Casper the friendly ghost. Jasper is one of my favourite names but just recently I seem to know of a lot of people who have dogs and cats called Jasper, as well as the Twilight association. The only association with Felix that I can think of is the cat food, and I don't particularly think that would be a real problem imo.
Jasper is one of my top names period. And no, it isn't because of the Twilight series. But for me I require a name that could have a good nickname and I love that'd I'd be able to call him 'Jazz'. But for same reason Oscar either makes me think of the character from Sesame Street or a grumpy old man who I used to live next door to.
Oscar reminds me of the absolutely adorable baby they used in Ghostbusters II (actually they were twin babies).. But the kid was seriously cute. I just think it's a great name.

Felix - a black cartoon cat. but I knew a Spainard named Felix that was this big gay guy, super smart and funny.
