  • It doesn't matter what you put in for a DNS server, Netflix will check your IP address and redirect you to the service in the country where that IP address has been assigned. In fact, they are required to do this by the media companies that they enter into agreements for content. Media companies assign distribution rights to films and television shows to companies that operate within each country and Netflix is required to sublicense the content from them (due to the distribution agreements already in place).

So, you can't get US Netflix in Canada.

That said, if you subscribe to a VPN service in the US, you can tunnel your Internet traffic through a computer in the US and appear to Netflix as if you are physically in the US. In that scenario, you will be able to get US Netflix, but you will also dramatically increase the network latency (time it takes data to get from one place to another) and the quality of the video stream will go down significantly.

  • There is a VPN service called Blockless they help canadians watch american netflix while in canada, check out the link below for more info!

  • See here http://thevpn.guru/watch-american-us-netflix-canad... there is a free DNS service that I can confirm is working

  • You want to scam the system? Find a provider that will give you VPN that terminates on american soil. No idea if you will get enough throughput to stream video though.

  • My partner and i highly recommend making use of VPNPower in order to unblock internet sites. I have been using them since 4 years. http://www.vpnpower.net/
