How to extract clips from a dvd onto my laptop?
I want to make a video on youtube using different clips from harry potter movies, with music in the background. I have the DVDS, so if I upload them onto my macbook laptop, how do I take out, like 5 seconds for example, and then put it into my video? And what application should I use to make a video like this? imovie or something else? I'm kind of clueless! haha thanks to anybody who answers I really appreciate it!

use power director for your work.
HandBrake will grab the video for you, and I just assume that all macs come with video editing software because all PCs do, but I couldn't tell you what the software is since I use a PC.
