Strange cooling problem in my car.?
2000 Ford Crown Vic w/Police interceptor engine. Just started overheating and making strange gurgiling sounds from behind the dashboard. Here's the strange part, the steam is coming out of the defroster, and air conditioning vents. It doesn't appear to be leaking coolant anywhere, and I don't have to put a lot of water/coolant into the overflow tank. Someone told me that it might be the heater core is leaking or the hoses are split going to the heater core. Is this something that can be fixed easily?

Yes, sounds like the heater core could be bad. So cars to can go under the dash, some you must remove (pull) the dash.
someone told you right ! the heater core is what it sounds like to me or you have a heater hose leaking antifreeze into the heater box or the heater core is leaking !
