How to fix BOOTMGR is compressed?

My computer says BOOTMGR is compressed and gives the ctrl+Alt+Del to restart. What does this mean? I don't have the vista cd. Is there any way of fixing this without buying it?

  • You do need the Vista CD, so you can access command prompt. Once there you need to use fix mbr.
