Use the formulas A = pi r ^2 and V = Bh to write a formula for the volume of A cylander
V - volume of cylinde
h = height, B - base of cylinder which is circle.
Area of circle can be derived by formula A = pi*r^2.. this is nothing but B
(Here r - radius of the base)
So V = pi*r^2 * h
Volume of cylinder = area of base X height
= pi r^2 h
The formula for a cylinder is easy. First you plug in the dimentions of the base of the cylinder into Area=3.14 * radius^2. Then once you've found the area of the base, you multiply that by the hieght of the cylinder to find the volume.
cylander= 1/3 pi r^2h
Well volume of a cylinder is
pi x r2 (radius) x h (height)
Volume=Ïr²h
