Bacterial Vaganosis?? What do I do?
Well, I want to start from the beginning to give better understandment.
I remember for awhile actually for a long time more than a year to be honest
I was always itching down their. Not in the vagina but around it like in the vulva.
That was all when I was young then I finally had a pap and they said I had yeast infection-
Later on I had got prescribed cream but didn't take it right away i still had sex before I used it.
Then I used it and i realized it was wrong. I got really sick and started throwing up and went back to the hospital and they gave me a pelvic exam n said i had a pelvic inflammatory infection.
So they gave me antibiotics for that. Done taking those, and went back for a follow up and she said the only thing she saw was BV- Bacterial Vaganosis. When I looked more in to it, it says you get that and yeast infection if you have had multiple partners. Thing is I never had multiple partners. I lost my virginity at 17 and the same with him with me, and Now with my fiancée of 5 years is the only person i sleep with and he lost his virginity to me. So I'm a little confused How would I be getting all of this if I didn't sleep around? and why would I still be getting BV? I am also on birth control if that helps...can someone give me some opinions? Thanks for the HELP.

I'm not sure where you got the information that yeast infections only happen if you've had multiple partners but it's not entirely correct. Yeast infections as well as bacterial vaginosis occur when the normal flora (lactobacillus species) and pH that is in your vagina is disrupted by something. It could be from using antibiotics, or the wrong diet or even a disease such as diabetes.
The change in pH kills off the lactobacillus and allows the other bad bacteria and fungi to take over. They normally prescribe antibiotics for BV and an anti-fungal for Candidiasis.
So the reason you could be getting this is your normal flora keeps getting killed off by something in your diet, even your soap could kill it off and promote the growth of other bugs. Also you could pass it on to your partner and he could then give it back to you so you both need to be treated.
Take some probiotics or eat lots of yoghurt that may help and find out what in your lifestyle is causing it
Hope that helps!
