My PS3 has a minor problem.?
Yesterday i played my PS3 for 12 hours straight minus the little 2 minute breaks i took every hour. It froze twice within those 12 hours should i give it a break or should i just send it to sony?

it might be due to overheating, but if it is, it would be due to dust clogging up the system. unplug it and blow down the air intake fan, then if its in an enclosed space you should take it out. also, my ps3 sometimes freezes because the discs aren't clean. if it still freezes, then try cleaning some of the discs. if you take the ps3 to sony, then they'll tell you exacty what i just told you, and won't replace it, the bastards.
Well try to give it a break also make sure that its dust free and well ventilated if the problem still continues then contact sony. But for future reference you cant let it run for 12 hours straight the systems will get hot.
Playing for extended periods of time shouldn't make your console freeze, I leave mine on pretty much 24 hours a day I pause it when I'm done playing and just leave it go and I have no freezing issues so maybe you just need to clean the disc or disc slot itself, but don't send it in, you never send in any console to any company because the thing freezes.
it might be over heating as a result of playing it to much. stop playing it so much and take an hour break. if it still freezes up then send it to sony
try it again, but use a different game. it might be over heating. if it is placed on the carpeted floor, pick it up...and place it on a shelf...i have watched 16 hours of movies in one day, with some gaming involved, and it never froze up..if it continues to do it, then ship it to sony
Mine has been freezing too, but only when I play Call of Duty Black Ops.
Go out and buy one of those external fans to keep your system cool.
