You need to do your own homeowrk, but I will help you along:
1. A verb is action. Something being done. An adverb is HOW it is done. Which of the three fits that definition?
2. The second one has me worried. There is a list of commonly used prepositions, and several would be correct for each one. But these are commonly used sayings, so is your teacher asking you to pick a correct preposition, or is the teacher asking for the preposition most commonly associated with that saying? If it's the latter, you have my permission to use Google!
A list of commonly used prepositions from which to choose: "about," "above," "across," "after," "against," "along," "among," "around," "at," "before," "behind," "below," "beneath," "beside," "between," "beyond," "but," "by," "despite," "down," "during," "except," "for," "from," "in," "inside," "into," "like," "near," "of," "off," "on," "onto," "out," "outside," "over," "past," "since," "through," "throughout," "till," "to," "toward," "under," "underneath," "until," "up," "upon," "with," "within," and "without."
