Those two together would be amazing! But I'm not sure if they're even really friends. On ana's website she doesn't include jelena as one of her friends when asked the question
I'm sure they will win if they work together as a team..... maybe, they are not close but they are from Serbia and speak the same language.... more easy to communicate..
They would be an excellent Doubles team. Speaking the same language helps alot when playing doubles. Even though they might be different and might not be close friends, they've got the skills.
Maybe for the Fed cup and Olympics.
I really enjoyed the Ivanovic AND Kirilenko double team, hottest double team
I don't think they're very close friends either. They seem to purposely keep their respectful distance from each other for some reason. I doubt they would make a great doubles team though, at least not a Top 5 team. They would definitely be strong in Fed Cup or the Olympics though.
you got to remember too,JJ is also about four years older than ana so i don't think they would be great friends considering that age gap. plus, neither live or train anywhere near each other so it's not as if they would hang out together. and often times they're mostly consumed with competing as they are 2 and 3 respectively. and jelena she seems to be her own person, she has a different life and a different set of friends. she has a deep respect being serbian but i think that's about it.
it's just like justine henin and kim....everybody thought initially they were best friends merely because they came from the same country but they weren't. they had different personalities, they paved their own paths and they were often times competing with each other so...
i dunno about being a great doubles team though. as michael n. said, perhaps for fed cup but i don't think would be as dynamic on the tour. and they both seem to be more focused on their singles career i doubt it would ever happen. jamie murrary practically had to beg JJ to play mixed with him so i don't believe that's really a real interest.
