Flea problem, help!!?

I just moved to Tenessee from Japan with my lovely Chihuahua

almost 2 months ago. He'd never had flea when he was in Japan.

I was using frontline plus every months.

I brought some of them here and used them as usual.

It seems like it's working for the first 3 weeks, but it doesn't work longer than that. He can easily get fleas here.

I took him to the pet store the other day, they gave him flea shampoo and gave me Zodiac Spot On to use 48hrs later.

They said Frontline plus doesn't work for a lot of dogs this year so they recommended Zodiac one.

I'm confused. I've never used this product and hegitate to use it. I belived that frontline works the best and safe for dogs.

What should I do now??? Are fleas in the US stronger than the ones in Japan? or Japanese fronline doesn't work for fleas in the US?

Please give me some ideas and tell me what spot on products are the best and the safest to use

    Please google Zodiac Spot on. Lot's of negative reports of dogs dying while on it.

    Frontline doesn't seem to work as well this year. I had to switch to revolution.

    Frontline is working for the "first 3 weeks" because it only is effective for a month. You need to apply Frontline EVERY month.
