Possible to acquire asthma after bronchitis?
After a really bad cold a few months ago, I got bronchitis for about another month. Doctor gave me some antibiotics and it cleared up in about a week - thankfully. I was finally able to breathe like normal, and then I got another cold. The wheezing came back after the cold went away and I figured I had bronchitis again. The doctor did not want to give me antibiotics again and then said that I had asthma that had been aggravated by the bronchitis. I'd never been allergic to anything, never had had bronchitis or pneumonia, or any other breathing problems. I've gone for Xrays and a PFT and my doctor keeps telling me I have asthma, even though inhalers don't help and Singulair hasn't done anything.
Is there anything that would cause a productive cough, yellow/green phlegm, and wheezing that ISN'T asthma?

Yes after you take antibiotic you need take probiotic too get digestive system back to normal. Drink lot of water yellow mucus mean your dehydrate and clear mucus your feeling a lot better and red mucus there broken nasal .
Asthma could be triggered by bronchitis. Bronchitis could cause all of these symptoms, but asthma cannot. The symptoms definitely confirm bronchitis, but I'm not sure how the doc would know for certain if you also have asthma. The symptoms overlap so much that it seems like you need more time to see if you still have wheezing and impaired PFT after all other symptoms have cleared up.
