  • All of his prophecies are open to interpretation, so that means you can take a prophecy, decipher it bit by bit, then make it fit an event if you wish it to. Having said that, there have been some clever interpretations over the years where his words seem to have matched with real events, so who knows? My mind is open on this.

  • Nostradamus never predicted anything accurately and he may not have intended to. It's possible his verses referred to then current events or things in his recent past.

One verse "predicts" the death of a French king in a jousting accident, but that happened some 6 years before Nostradamus died.

Ten years ago people were quoting him as predicting the end of the world in 2000. Yeah, right.

  • I believed that he predicted 911, my mom bought a book of nostradamus prophesies from Borders in 1993, and in the book he talks about globes exploding and he explains it in a way that you can understand but using different words, cause back then they didnt have towers or planes. But yea on the day we got it out and read it again, it was werid. what are is prophesies in 2012?

  • Well some of his prophecies have happened around about the time he said they would. He did predict the world would suddenly end back in like 1998 or something and as far as I can see that never happened.. What is his 2012 prophecy anyway?

  • yeah, Michel saw a lot of things, in fact i'd say he was bang on the mark each time. and he never put any date to his stuff, at least nothing we can get our hands on, so there is no prophecy by Michel de Nostradame about 2012. if you want to know about the whole 2012 thing, google it, don't ask on here anymore, i for one am sick of repeating myself, and i'm pretty sure a fair few others are as well.

  • personally I don't - if i had a dollar for everytime he apparently said the world was going to explode or something ..... lol

check out that "penn & teller - bull ****" show, they did an informative number on people makin $$$$ frightening people with "prophesies"

  • I don't but the French did, that's why the Germans were able to take France with out a fight, they thought it was ordained, true story.

  • No, because it's only after things occur that we hear of a prophecy, never before.

  • How is a bunch of ambiguous rants considered prophecy?

  • No, many of his prophecies have been rewritten or amended over the years
