Sprinkler system's added value?
I am trying t fix up my hose to sell and was wondering if adding a sprinkler system would be worth putting in. How much would adding a yard sprinkler system add to the value of my house?

If you are able to do most of the work on the sprinkler install yourself you will come out very nice when you get ready to sell. If you have it done you will still come out ahead but not much. Probably less than a 3% increase over what you paid for the sprinkler system.
Sprinkler systems are a great seller.
Now: what the hell is Duchess talking about?
I don't see the sense of fixing your hose if you add a sprinkler system. If you have a good sprinkler system, you only need a hose when you water your container plants. If you have previously been watering the yard around your house manually, you probably have plenty of other hoses.
i don't think it would be worth it. As far as selling and buying a house.. a sprinkler system wouldn't be a big plus.. it would just be "nice"... you're better off investing that money in the Kitchen and master bedroom and bath.. those are rooms that would really make or break a deal! :P
Good luck
If it were me, I'd love to have an automatic system. However, if the rooms were too small, or no large closets the automatic system would not determine my buying the house. The system would just be icing on the cake.
