Do these sentences make sense?
Okay so I have to write a paper and use relatively big vocabulary. Can you just read these sentences and tell me if I used the words right or if it flows? Thanks!:
1. I know the work is intricate and plentiful, but I’m ready to face it head-on.
2. I’ve been waiting for an opportunity like this to come where I can finally start pursuing my infatuation.

I think there are better options.
Try to avoid using contractions ("I'm) and slang ("Head-on").
Plentiful is usually used in a positive context.
Infatuation is almost always used in terms of having a "crush" on someone.
1. I realize the work is detailed and cumbersome, but I am prepared to confront it unequivocally.
2. I have been awaiting an opportunity such as this that will enable me to pursue my interests.
1. OK.
2. infatuation:
Infatuation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Infatuation is the state of being completely carried away by unreasoned passion or love:
A foolish, unreasoning, or extravagant passion or attraction.
An object of extravagant, short-lived passion.
You may pursue your infatuation if you wish, but be prepared for a BIG letdown.
Try 'career', 'interests', 'profession', etc.
Infatuation doesn't make sense, try the word interest.
