SKS Price Value. Is This A Fair Trade?
Hay i just bought a Norinco SKS in good shape. Its got a side foldng stock on it, chrome inside barrel. And came with a 10rd 30rd and 20rd mags. I got a guy intersted in trading a 9mm hipoint carbine with pistol grip and 2 10rd mags in the box with 230 dollars for the sks with my cleaning kits, stripper clips and mags. I paid 225 for the rifle about 6 months ago. Is this a fair price for my rifle. I know i got a great deal on the gun but should i sell for 230 and get a hi point 9mm carbine tossed in.

Do it, it has lost all collector value since it has a non original stock on it and it has been modified to use duckbill mags (the detachable SKS mags, this gun was never designed to use detachable mags).
I would go for it, you are getting what you paid for it and you are getting a free gun (and a free 5 bucks).
Sure. Hi-point is crap, but so is the sks. The carbines are fun, and go bang when the trigger is pulled. hopefully its one of the newer models, they appear to be made better then the older style.
plus, you get an extra $230 in your pocket. keep in mind that the Hi-point is limited to 10 round mags.
Check gunbroker first, Norinco SKS's are bringing some pretty good money these days. A lot of them 350.00+
Yup then you still own a piece of scrap but you have some money.
