Algebra Math Problem?
Hey ive got these two math problems that are really giving me some trouble i want to see if anyone could help me out.
1. 2x-1 with a square root over it = x-8
2. 8i over 2+1i
Can anyone help me please
Update:Im very sorry the second question is 8i over 2+2i. i acidently realized my error very sorry for those who already posted answers

1) √(2x - 1) = x - 8
=> 2x - 1 = (x - 8)²
=> 2x - 1 = x² - 16x + 64
i.e. x² - 18x + 65 = 0
=> (x - 13)(x - 5) = 0
so, x = 13 or x = 5
2) 8i/(2 + i) x (2 - i)/(2 - i)
=> 8i(2 - i)/(4 - i²)
=> (16i - 8i²)/(4 - i²)........and i² = -1
i.e. (16i + 8)/5
so, (8/5)(2i + 1)
