Electric, because I just compared the image of a manual typewriter to one of an electric typewriiter and the placement of the semicolon was the only difference. On the manual typewriter, the semicolon is on the bottom row and on the electric typewriter, the semicolon is in line with "asdfjkl" (middle row). Good question.
Back in the days when "typewriter" of any type was a viable answer, I would always go with electric.
As far as noise went, not too bad. It really showed itself when you type fast, and for long periods - the mechanical aide makes it easier. All progressions of inventions are brought about by two things - necessity or laziness.
My modern day answer is that you can't get me to sit to write a paper without an up-to-date version of MS Word. And I prefer the standard keyboard to any special ergonomic design. (Again, laziness, I don't have to retrain my hands.)

I was the only student in class that typed on a manual with no letter so i would say manual because I done so much better and was an A+ student
You've missed the letter "g&h" therefore it is a manual typewritter.
word processor
it's much more convenient to keep everything on the computer and only print it once you're finished
