Hair color fades quickly...?
Every time I dye my hair, w/in 2-ish weeks, it fades almost completely! I have gotten this leave in stuff from Sally Beauty Supply that was supposed to help make it stick, but it didn't work. And yes, I use permanent dye. I do wash my hair everyday, tho...could that be my problem? I also have sort of long hair, and it takes longer to do, so sometimes on section of my hair sits in dye while i wait for the other side...any clues? suggestions? Any help is welcome!!!

Frequent washing could definitely be a problem. Definitely don't wash it the next day and try not to wash it the second day, so the hair cuticles have a change to close up and seal the color.
It also might be your shampoo, or even the water in your area. Nothing you can do about your water, but try using shampoo and conditioner without sulfates - it's in every salon and loreal has a drugstore brand for $10 or so. See if that helps. It's less abrasive to color-treated hair.
Another thing is you might not be leaving the color in long enough. Try an extra 5 minutes over what the box says.
First off, I would limit the shampooing. Wash as necessary, not everyday. Secondly, I know it helps to add some hair dye to your conditioner. I know that when I had my hair red, it faded pretty quickly. I had to dye it once a week. Putting about half a bottle of dye into my conditioner really made it last longer. Hope it works for you!
Try using Pureology shampoo and conditioner. Yes it is a bit pricey but it is highly concentrated so you get about 80 washes out of each bottle. and I don't know about you but I can go through a huge bottle of pantene in a week because I have so much hair.
I paid $28 for each, shampoo and conditioner but i have found it to be worth it....plus it smells fabulous!
i had the same problem till i talked to a hairstylist. She told me not to wash my hair with warm or hot water. Only wash it with cold. especially after you first dye it. the cold helps keep the dye locked in.
hope it works for you.
