Any disease.

Update:

I cant believe you people are saying depression isnt a disease

i'm not gonna say no more, cuz then i'll get thrown off here, but if you only knew and seen the stuff i have in the hospital, then you would agree with me.

  • I also had depression,i was on prozac, but the reason for my depression finished when i changed employment,i'm fine now, hope your alright soon, some days you just want to roll over and die when it's bad.

  • Depression is tough! I suffered a major one about ten years ago and went on meds. I'm passed it now, just in time for my thyroid to kick out on me. Well, I'm at an age where it's gonna be one thing after another, I guess. Yes, depression is a disease and you are not to blame for its hitting you. What's not a disease is small-mindedness, hatefulness, and the need to belittle others because of your own self-loathing.

Good luck--I'm sure you'll get through this. Try to get out of the house every day, even if you don't want to. It's amazingly helpfull!

  • Severely compulsive OCD, Manic depression at the moment, I am developing arthritis in my right hand and I am only 17, Acid reflex, something that is related to multiple personalities disorder.

Forgot to mention that I have a phobia of looking into peoples eyes.

  • Raynauds Syndrome

  • I have obsessive compulsive disorder

    social anxiety disorder

    and semi-bad cystic acne.

But I dont take pills for any of them. I do use some acne cream though.

But I have learned to accept them... it hurts some days. And I get lonely. And the OCD gets very agitating. But God made me this way for a reason. I believe that my flaws are beautiful and they make me stronger.

  • When I was a kid they said I had ADD. They put me on Ritalin. But once I was out of a place where I was bored or didn't feel safe I was fine. If I ever have kids I will not put them on meds for ADD. I will find what the underlying problem is first.

  • I probably have depression, just never got help. I go from high to low often, but mostly low. Maybe a little ADHD....but also, an extremely high IQ, which causes my brain to race all the frickin time...hard to explain.

  • heart cataracts depression glaucoma angina High blood pressure diabetes an old fart one foot in the grave The other on a banana peal. Woe is me

  • Asthma, severe allergies and mild depression. All controlled with meds.

  • Depression isn't really a disease but I have it too. And then there is something else but I only tell people that I am really close to as it's their right to know.

edit: I'm not saying that depression isn't bad. I have severe depression and yes it changes peoples lives more than a lot of diseases can. All that I am saying is that it's known as a disorder and not a disease.
