About Critical Illness policy?

Please will someone give advice, suggestions about buying a 'standalone' Critical Illness policy in India.

Is it advisable to buy from the general insurers or the life insurance companies? I found that the policies by the life insurers cover a wide range of illnesses and come with terms upto 25 years. On the other hand, it seems premiums are low for policies bought from the general insurance companies which are only for 1 year term.

I am not looking for critical illness riders with term assurance policies. Please advise and suggest a good company/policy. Thank you.

  • One needs to take a mediclaim policy for self & family from one of the PSUs . Take this even if you are covered by group cover in your office.

You can take a term plan + critical illness riders from any of the private players. LIC does not give critical illness with term cover. They only give with endowment plans.

Visit the website of AVIVA & AEGON RELIGARE. Their rates are one of the lowest. You can even split it between 2 companies.

  • I've both life insurance and health insurance policies. Life insurance will give good returns in long time and health insurance can rescue you in any sudden health problem and pay your medical bills.. cashless payment is very useful. Also both offer good tax benefits. I decided to go for Max Bupa's family floater medical insurance since it offers maternity and new born baby benefits. They have different plans like silver, gold and platinum suitable for different requirements.

  • That should not be a situation - she's nonetheless an identical individual. they might request documentation of the call replace, yet I presume you are able to look after that with a replica of marriage and start certificates.
