Car wont turn over chevy lumina?
I have a 1991 Chevy lumina 3.1 litter 6 cylinder. We bought it cheap off a friend's friend. We drove it for about a month no problems then one day it accelerates terribly. It dies if I completely stop, and now it doesn't start. I get a tiny click when I turn the key but that's it complete silence. We've changed out the catalytic converter, air filter, serpentine belt, starter, alternator, spark plugs, fuses, and the battery. Everything we've been told will fix it. Nothings working what's wrong with it.

Most likey the ignition switch or tumbler. It's the anti theft not letting the car start because the resistance values are different. You can try leaving the key on for ten minutes then turn it off for a few seconds. That will reset the BCM in most GM's. If that works it could last 6 months or 6 minutes.

i do no longer think of i'd have been so speedy to alter the starter. while it makes the speedy clicking noise, you many times don't have sufficient capacity. verify your battery back, make optimistic the post isn't broken, and that the cable connections are stable. make optimistic the cables themselves are in stable condition and that the floor is nice. The cables can get corrosion on the interior. i do no longer see the alternator having something to do with this concern because it truly is not used to start the vehicle. It recharges the battery after the vehicle is working, as nicely as featuring capacity to maintain the vehicle and upload-ons working.
