do i qualify for unemployment?
I'm 20, and just lost my job at the restaurant I've been working at for a year. I was laid off because we had just entered our slow season and had to cut staff down. Being a less experienced server, I was laid off with the possibility off being hired back in the busy season. I worked first as a hostess at 7.25 an hour plus tips, then as a server at 4.19 plus tips. My hours on average were between 20 - 30 a week. I don't have any dependants and I don't support myself although I do pay bills. I want to know my chances of qualifying for unemployment if I'm not able to find anything soon.

Your chances of qualifying for unemployment are very good. You worked over a year and you lost job at no fault of your own.
Don't wait to apply. You can apply online (whatever state you live in). Make sure when you apply to include what approximately your salary was every month *including* tips. The less you make the less you get for unemployment.
