Vauxhall Vectra C Cruise Control dash light dissapeared?

i have just brought a vauxhall vectra 1.8i SRI and in the manual it says the cruise control light on the dash sould appear when the ignition is on and when started, however there are no lights illuminated on the dash at all when the ignition is turned or its started.

I have tried to activate the cruise controll multiple times but it never seems to work?

what should i try to do?? Many Thanks!!

    My first suggestion is that the cruise control is not programmed into the car's ECU systems. If it is, there may be a fault with the clutch switch. It may need plugging into the Tech2 Diagnostic system at your main dealer to accurately diagnose this fault.
