Is realwishes.com a scam?

I recently stumbled upon this site and thought it was nothing more than a joke.

I decided to play along anyway and entered my wish. It then said I had to check back on the site for 8 consecutive days.

It also recommended that I email 8 people on the homepage. So I was just wondering...what is the point of this site? Is it just garbage or a scam?

I've also heard from other people who reviewed the site that after they checked the site, it told them they needed to pay 8 dollars because they missed a day.

Update:

Thanks, Don. I had my doubts. These people are very sneaky in that they ask for DONATIONS, instead of payments. I don't understand how people are able to get away with this and call themselves legit.

  • It's a scam targeted at the same type of people that pay for telephone psychic readings. The idea is to get you involved in their mumbo jumbo and then ask you for money. You then figure "why not" ignoring the fact that they haven't actually provided you with anything of value in return.

The domain ownership is hidden. That is not typical for most legitimate sites.
