my cat does this every time she lays down. but she definitely isnt masturbating. and when she gets cozy and happy while you pet her, she digs her nails into anything in front of her and kneads it, including my arm. cute, but painful. she was taken away from her mom WAY too early, because the crackheads we got her from weren't taking care of her or any of her littermates. she has a lot of those weird cat traits, and she's like 8 or 9 years old.
