How to complete FAFSA?
Both my father and I are citizens but my mother is just a resident, when I filed for the FAFSA they sent it back saying they couldn't find her SS but she does have one and files jointly with my father. How can I fix this problem? I am also basically alone on this bc both my parents have very low education levels and don't understand the financial aid... can anyone please help?

I had a lot of problems with FAFSA as well. What you can do is contact Social Security.
By calling 1-800-772-1213. you can speak to a Social Security representative between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Double-check their last income tax return to ensure you entered her number correctly on the FAFSA. Sometimes a simple typo can be the problem.
